No matter how efficient your canopy filters are at trapping grease particles it is inevitable that deposits will start building up within the kitchen extraction and canopy. If you do not undertake cleaning on a regular basis the grease over time will become baked on and extremely difficult to remove. Reducing the effectiveness of the extraction system, shortening the fan’s life and creating a serious fire hazard in the kitchen. In addition bacteria develops in the fatty moist deposits, this becomes hazardous to health and a food source for cockroaches. Regular kitchen extraction cleaning is imperative to ensure the safety of the building and occupants are not at risk from fire.
The need for specialist cleaning of extract systems will depend on the level of usage of the cooking equipment, types and quantity of cooking and other risk factors such as vulnerability of the system to ignition and of the building and its occupant/users to system fire, hygiene, vermin and mechanical hazards.
The monitoring of Grease Extract Ducts is carried out by Wet Film tests and visual inspections. Due to the British Standards & Fire Regulations we can monitor the level of grease deposits within your ducting. Where access to the extraction system is not in place and is safe to do so we install access panels ensuring thorough cleaning. Using the latest technologies of rotary brush, air blast and crawl and scrape methods we ensure that your grease extract systems are brought up to and maintained to TR19 standards.
It is our company policy to take photographic evidence of a representative sample of our works, both pre and post cleaning. All work undertaken is carried out by our fully trained and qualified engineers, conforming to British Standards and TR19 Regulations.
